So as always they want us to send them our list of games we want so they can then throw those away and make their own "better" list of what they think we want. We need to make a tweetathon just to let them know we're not going anywhere and we weren't heard.
That being said, Assasin’s Creed Unity really got my attention. The trailer was decent, probably the weakest of the night to be honest, but the game play is what got me. Ubisoft showed off several minutes of actual game play, and I was mesmerized. Not by the game mechanics, because for better or worse, they looked pretty much the same as every other game in the series. What got me was how it looked, and felt. The graphics were incredible, probably the best looking next gen game I’ve yet seen. The detail, the fidelity, it was just so…real. Not only did it look great, but the way the character interacts with the environment. Nothing ever looked like a character model interacting with an object model, everything looked like a person interacting with a thing. I was blown away by the technical prowess on display here, and don’t even get me started on the NPC’s and crowds. They looked like real people living real lives. It was all so organic alive. Wow.
