I hope this is not another of those soul crushing moments we have from time to time, even HD ports is enough for me. About QD, I like their games but I don't know if they are the right developer.

Looking forwardto this night and Sony's presser.

I know a lot of us get delusional when e3 comes around, but it really feels like we're been building up to this moment for years now...

- yu reemerges from the darkness and starts giving interviews, acknowledges shenmue demand and his willingness to make it
- yu revisits shenmue at gdc post-mortem
- sony acknowledges demand for shenmue 3 and even claims "rome wasn't built in a day" when we were all pissed last year
- yu seen being chummy with various sony execs for nearly 2 years now
- yu resumes tweeting the god damn same week as e3 is one thing, but him tweeting a pic of a forklift is a freaking sign from the spaghetti monster.

Friends, it's been an honor keeping hope alive with you all these 15 years. If another e3 passes with no news, i'm not giving up.

That being said...

I believe our time has come.

Tomorrow night, if MS have not pulled a blinder with Shenmue, will be off the charts. I honestly think the Shenmue hype will be huge tomorrow night. Its definitely the biggest possibility for any Shenmue news in a good few years.

Because I am attending the show, I have access to a list of attendees for e3. There is no listing for Quantic Dreams. Doesn't mean for sure they won't be there, as Yu Suzuki also doesn't have a listing for himself.

So... I'm not really sure what that means, if anything.

I think this is the right answer. Sony's Third Party Productions is the only viable way that an HD remake or a third game gets made this console generation. Last year at E3, Gio came out and let us all know what would come of their work for the upcoming year (Yakuza 5 in the west, Suikoden came as a PSN classic, a few others) and I fully expect him to do something similar tomorrow night. I do not expect anything related to Shenmue before or after Gio does his bit.

We shall see. 24 hours from now, we will be very excited or very disappointed!

I find hard to believe that anyone will put the money to make Shenmue III without knowing how the market will react to Shenmue again. We are a minority no matter how much noise we make, Shenmue needs to be reintroduced to a new generation of gamers. Full remakes is crazy talk but simple HD ports will fall short and probably will do no good to the chances of Shenmue III being made.

I just found that Shenmue.info was also updated on 6/2/15. This is a new site, originally created on 5/29/15.
The registrar info is coming from another Japanese location though, onamae.com. The main owner is being kept secret. Those guys have previously registered some of Atlus's trademarks. Persona5.jp was one of theirs, for example.

I'm seeing rumblings on Facebook that Yu himself tweeted out a picture of a forklift at E3. Would he put so much attention on himself if this years E3 was going to be completely absent from any Shenmue news? I doubt it. I feel like something is happening.
