A lot of us Shenmue fans believed we couldn't continue the story because Sony killed the Dreamcast (Sega) with the PS2.

Now Sony is funding Shenmue 3! This is CRAZY!

They should have offered more dinners With Yu Suzuki.

We did it guys, I have tears of happyness and joy since yesterday. I'm the biggest Shenmue fan around and had completely lost hope on a conclusion to this franchise since so many years have passed. I'm a 30 year old man now but this news made feel for my teenage years were I felt alone supporting this game and the dreamcast. Every classmate and close friend in my childhood did not like/support this game when released; so I always felt alone when I declared my love for the game. Here's hoping we all show support from now on, because apart from us(the rabid fans) nobody will support it. Nozomi might be a 50 year old in Canada now lol. Respect to Adam,The dojo, Ziming, HappyConsoleGamer, Orient and others for being vocal throughout the years. Victory!!!

It sounds to me like the implication is they are going to partly fund it. The Kickstarter was to gauge interest, but now Sony are definitely on board.

Good news Though I still think we should all try and make this the biggest Kickstarter the world has ever seen and ever will see.

Can you even do that? That's a shame. It's not like we know to what extent Sony really are going to help out. We shouldn't get all cocky about it now.

You're welcome, everyone. I got a leather bomber lambskin jacket for christmas... It's virtually identical to Ryo's in quality and style, only I don't have the insignia and tiger on the back, yet.

Obviously, the jacket set everything in motion that led up to this glorious day.

Haha nice man, I wonder who got the 10,000 Ryo jacket from Kickstarter?
