Shenmue 3 has surpassed 'Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night' with 13 hours to go to become the most funded video game in Kickstarter history.
For reference, the previous title holder had reached a total of $5,545,991.

The next stretch goal, the 'Advanced Free Battle' system, is still within our grasp at $6,000,000...
Please keep pledging and urge others to pledge by using the following hashtags: #SaveShenmue #TheFinalBlow

Today has seen an historic victory for the Shenmue franchise, creator Yu Suzuki and fans of the series the world over.

The final hours are upon us! Let's make every second count!

I am so happy to hear this :) This is really a crucial achievement for Shenmue and it will help to pave the way for future Shenmue installments as well. Btw, just a sidetrack, does the $60 pledge reward comes with the $5 reward?

Oops, I missed out certain text, actually i meant to ask does the $60 pledge reward for the physical PS4 copy comes with the $5 reward? Cos it doesn't state so under the Rewards section. But i hope you are right :))

This is a nice ending for that documentary they're making.

Unless of course the game turns out to be good.

A fine end. :D Though I still hope they go for more funding through other means like Star Citizen, if only to get to a 10 million budget mark after all fulfillment goodies are paid for.
