Many congratulations to NoconKid, who has now been hired as part of the team developing Shenmue 3!

The South Korean super fan has wowed fans across the globe with his homemade HD recreations of Shenmue environments, and his efforts have not gone unnoticed by Yu Suzuki himself.

As the Shenmue III project continues to prove that dreams do come true, we look forward to the detailed world that NoconKid will help to create in the most anticipated videogame sequel of all time.

Excellent news. I'm so happy for NoconKid, he totally derserves it, more than anyone. That, and now I can officially quit worrying about the probability of Shenmue III not looking Shenmue enough.

Fantastic news. The game is in great hands now, dude is legit talented, Shenmue HD looked amazing and I don't doubt that Shenmue 3 will now either. He's going to benefit the Shenmue 3 team immensely since he's a wizard with Unreal Engine 4.

This shit just blows my mind, still, the painstaking detail in that recreation is just...wow:


Now if we could just help Esppiral get hired for Shenmue 4 to work on the character models.
