I think PC is only digital on Steam.

sega has always been terrible at advertising shenmue. i dont even remember seeing anything for s2 on the dreamcast.

.. also, i bet those inside leaks a few years ago were correct, sega was just sitting on 1/2HD, waiting for a good time to release (ie around s3 release date)

This is absolutely amazing! Congratulations to everyone. Not only have we fought for Shenmue III, but now we are getting one and two HD <3 I'm so glad that they have kept everyhing the same, no reskinning etc. Any news if they will eventually come to Switch? I would love to play them when ever I want

Remember guys, this is not for us. This is for people who haven't had the luxury to be exposed to the best game of all time. This is for Shenmue. This is for gaming, storytelling, for art itself!

I pray this paves a new generation of inspired players who are touched as we were by our experience with this masterpiece.

I guess with a brighter future ahead, this news ends up being for us as well. It took them too long to announce this but with the release of Shenmue 3, it's forgivable.

Unbelievable what an exciting news and with dual audio I always wanted to play the first game in Japanese w. English subtitles. Having all three Shenmue games in one console is a dream come true.

Just saw this on facebook, and was overwhelmed with emotion and gratitude.

My initial thoughts: PS4 AND Xbox One! Steam release is huge and will put the games in so many people hands.

Secondly, i am wondering if Yu has had any involvement at all with these? Could it now be feesable we can finally carry over our save data? Possibly even into the 3rd game??! Would love to hear how clear data will work even if its just from 1 to 2.

Well now we can feel a bit spoiled after over a decade of hard work. Let the celebrations begin! And also Happy Birthday to me, could have asked for a better gift than this on this day!

I was also so happy to see this news, thanks for all the Shenmue Community and your help. It's always incredible to read the reactions of Shenmue fans.

I must confess i was a little disappointed by the trailer, but i prefer to see the positive side, 30 euros, physical edition, release in 2018, both audiodubs...It's still hard to believe that we we'll have Shenmue 1 & 2 HD very soon.

This is fantastic news; thank you to everyone who kept pushing Sega to rerelease Shenmue 1 and 2. Now I’m really curious as to what the achievements/trophies will be. Duck racing has to be a gold trophy.

I was literaly tearful when I heard the announcement.

We never thought we'd get Shenmue 3 and it finally happened. Now we'll see HD ports of the first two games on current gen consoles.
No matter how much we hated Sega at times, they've come through and they deserve praise.
I was exceptionally happy at hearing we'll have both English and Japanese voice options too!

I sold all my Dreamcast ,N64,P.S.,Xbox e.t.c. consoles and games a while ago .

These were one of a few games that i had regrets about selling ,so i'm particularly happy to see these coming to Steam.

About time.
