Index page topic links

I wanted to wait a few days before asking about this since there was so many other fires to stamp out.

Was hoping sometime we can possibly get back topic links on the index page. Little annoying just to see a name but have to go into the specific forum each time to see what topic has been responded to.
I know it's Phpbb3 that did this but hoping a mod is being considered to fix that.

Sorry, just realised we actually have it but the bit you have to click is the tiny page icon, poor design but at least we have it. The old dojo used to show the topic tittle, is there any way that can be added?

Last post:Needs a link to the actual last post made in any forum, dare I say it, like the old Dojo. Clicking a users profile who made the last post is pointless and also saves time of going into the forum and finding the latest post in the first place.

I concur, I do like seeing what topic was being responded to on the index.

Yeah it's something phpbb3 does. It's not a choice made by Yama and his team I know. HD has the same issue. I remember bysby on the old HD wrote a mod for it but since it's a mod I was not sure if Mr rod or someone was working on one or not. Just curious as I know it should be simple but apparently given the past I am guessing it's a thorn in ones side to fix.

One thing that's been bothering me is that links in the "New Posts" section do not "expire".

Meaning when I come back a few hours later or a day, alot of the topics I don't want to read are still marked as unread rather than just be automatically listed as read after a certain amount of time.

It's never been that way. It doesn't clear unless you press the "Mark All Forums Read" link or something like that at the top of the index page. It was like that before the new boards.

A problem I have is I press the back button to get back to the index page and it doesn't mark them as have been read by me even after I refresh it. But thats no big deal, I just clear it out when I'm done visiting for the time being.

Now that you mention it, Oppy and Kenny are right. I also remember it being every visit or so. I prefer it the new phpbb3 way, there were times I didn't have enough time to read all the new messages and then they'd dissapear. Used to clicking mark as read when I'm done reading what I've wanted to.

Yeah true. Sometimes I wanted to see a topic with a video I can't see at work then come back home and its not there anymore. And I completely forgot what it was all about.
