The chatroom is open to everyone to use fairly, and talk about things in a manner which is not possible on the boards! As the chatroom says, its a "sanctury" for both Shenmue and Dojo gaming fans to go in there and talk about what they like!
The rules are pretty lax in there, but there are rules and if users do not abide by them, they will be banned on sight. There will be no warning system, and no reprisal! Some chatroom events in the past have been the catylist for this, but overall its necessary for the smooth running and peacefulness of the place. Its not there to be abused or used to directly insult other users.
RULES OF THE CHATROOM
- Users must have a Shenmue Dojo account, with 250 posts or "Dojo Doner" status to join Chat.
- Once you recieve the Chat password, DO NOT PASS IT ONTO ANYONE! Any abuse of this will result in insta-bans to anyone who does, and is assocaited with any other such accounts.
- Do not pointlessly insult, flame, or troll.
- Do not advertise.
- No racism of any kind.
- Do not search for a relationship, this is not a dating chatroom.
- Do not impersonate other chatmembers or use nicknames extremely similar to other chatmembers.
- Do not evade a ban.
- Do not ask for personal details in the chatroom.
- Do not beg for an unban or whine about your ban from Dojo Chat.
- Do not boss around other members of the chatroom.
- Do not speak in a language other than English.
- Do not connect more than once to the chatroom with a single internet connection.
- Do not argue with any staff about any of the rules.
- Staff can amend these rules at any time, with no prior warning.
- Staff withhold the right to refuse any requests to join Dojo Chat.
HOW TO REGISTER
- Users must have a Shenmue Dojo account, with 250 posts or "Dojo Doner" status to join Chat.
- Go HERE to register an account with Tinychat (Free and easy!)
- PM your Tinychat account name to PETER or RYUDO here at the dojo.
- Once your Tinychat account is verified, you will be given the password to the chatroom
- This password will be changed periodically to enhance security of the chatroom
- Your Tinychat account will be logged to your Dojo account, and any messing about with alternate/duplicate accounts will result in direct bans.
