ShenmueDojo and YouTube's Content ID

Does ShenmueDojo have a backup plan for all the content on the Shenmue Dojo YouTube page in case it is affected by the new content ID feature? It'd suck to have all of that content removed from a categorized and organized archive like YouTube currently allows. I'm not sure if the ShenmueDojo site itself can handle such a load in case the content will have to be moved.

What about slowly moving the content to another streaming site like DailyMotion like ClassicGameRoom has done?

It's just, I'd be sad if all the hard work and such here was lost on the web. (Yes, I physical backups surely exist.)

The Dojo's gonna be fine. Watch the second and third videos.

I can't say I agree with those videos, especially when YouTube's own partners are being affected already. Also, even if ShenmueDojo is relatively safe, it is still a great idea to have a backup plan.

Also I'll probably have to watch the videos again to make sure I understand each argument in full.

The videos have gone unaffected for a long time. The current "thing" is that they're going after monetised videos/channels, which the Dojo isn't. At the end of the day, all content on any site that isn't user-owned is at constant risk. And besides that, Ziming will have the videos on his computer anyway.

If you're that arsed about it though, download em.

Our channel only has a few content id claims which isn't going to put it in any jeopardy. We just get a few ads placed on our videos, nothing more. No danger of a copyright strike for now.

These new measures effect partners/affiliates who monetize their videos. They have been shielded from it until now, which is why Angry Joe is making a big stink of it.

i've noticed that adds now appear the dojo's youtube page. does the monetization help keep shenmue dojo alive, or was this something Sega initiated to make revenue?

The channel is now under a Youtube network. I was advised by Adam Koralik that we're much better off being under one than without. It will also help out a little with yearly hosting fees to maintain this website. If you dislike the ads I recommend using Adblock to get rid of them.
