Bandwidth

Just curious as to whether the bandwidth of the site is a major financial drain.

I've noticed a lot of the image assets, particularly on the main site, but also on the forum, could do with being run through png crush, at a quick glance you'd probably save at least a meg of data going over the wire on an empty browser cache.

I don't have the numbers to see what effect this has on the big picture, but if anyone thinks it will help, I'll be happy to lend a hand.
