Your questions needed for interview with Cedric Biscay

https://www.radiosega.net/shows/blog/se ... ic-biscay/

We're interview Shenmue III's co-producer next week, so let us know if you have any specific questions.

Hello, everyone! This week's we'll be doing not one but two of these blog posts. This first one is related to next week's show, airing on the 16th of July.

We'll be chatting with Cédric Biscay, President and CEO of Shibuya Productions, and co-producer of the upcoming Shenmue III game.

Since the interview will be pre-recorded, we wanted you guys to have the chance of asking some questions to Mr. Biscay. Is there anything about his connection with the Shenmue universe that you're curious about? Any questions about the Kickstarter project? Any suggestions you'd like us to pass on?

You can send us your questions via a comment on the bottom of this page or by writing an email to kc[at]radiosega[dot]net with the subject 'Question for Cédric Biscay". Please make sure you send us your questions asap, so we can include them in the interview.

The interview will air on Thursday, 16th July, at 8pm BST (9pm Central Europe/3pm EST/12pm PST), which is roughly one day before the Kickstarter ends. Don't miss it!

Biscay might not be the guy to ask, but I'd like it if we sought clarification on the stretch goals. Like just what makes "Advanced" Free Battle so advanced, what the high ground battle system is, trying to get a better idea of the Character Perspective System... And what the Shenmue 1&2 cinema shorts entail?

I've been thinking about making a topic for this, but does anyone else think we should get together and petition the KS/YsNet to re-allocate the $500k for the shorts to other stretch goals? I mean, if we get HD remasters -- and I think there's a really decent chance of it -- they will be really, really pointless if they are what I think they are (could see your basic flashbacks/recaps prefacing the game's kick-off, but would that really be a stretch goal? I get the feeling it's the same as the Shenmue, MGS, etc. movie edits). Perhaps we could bring that up as a question to Biscay? If not, I'd like for that idea to maybe gain traction on the KS.

How prepared were you for the kick starter?
How well did you expect the kick starter to perform?
What plans have you got for after the kick starter?

Has development for the game started if so, what things are currently being worked on. If no, when do you plan to start development.

Will the original Japanese voice actor for Shenhua, Ren and Xiuying will be back for Shenmue III? I remember some years ago Kyuu said that Shenhua Japanese voice actor quit voice acting I really liked her for Shenua.

I'd like to know if I can submit my own art for the Lucky Hit reward, with the understanding that the developer has final say.

Have they decided on what team will be developing the PC version? He's in charge of finding funding for that so for those who intend to play it on PC that might be an important question.

Otherwise what I'd like to know is, what were his favorite Dreamcast games aside from Shenmue, or what was his first Sega console, some fun questions like that lol.

- Are you going to do a "japanese kickstarter" on a page like makuake to seek more funds on japan ?

- Are you going to have a Shenmue Forum for backers to talk with them, and show development news ?

- What can fans do to help development after the KS is over ? Ad honorem testing, programming, art, sound/music, etc. ?

- Will you make Shenmue PC mod friendly ??

- Are you going to reach companies for ingame publicity to get more funds ? (like Coca Cola, Timex, etc.)

- Instead of cutting the game of content, have you thought of dividing the game into chapters or having DLC addons??

And a couple of suggestions:
please don't cap FPS/resolution on PC, pc gamers hate that.
Add a paypal option.

I'd ask how will the promotion strategy work this time round, since Sony will help but not confirmed how, and although SEGA did some stuff back in 2000s for Japan/Asia market, it wasn't really enough.

Oops didn't read that OP very well, I've emailed him the question now...
