Shenmue chapter 2 DLC!!

Any chance we may see a playable flashback in Shenmue III to the long lost boat chapter that was cut in Shenmue 2?

If you're familiar with the Kickstarter rewards available, you'll notice a reward called "s3 world telecom" which not only allows you to call old friends/relatives from Yokosuka but it also gives you access to flashback scenes.

Maybe during your conversation with Gui Zhang, they talk about Chai and Ryo's boat journey. Cue Ryo having a flashback and boom! We get to live out Ryo's boat journey via a flashback.

Thanks! I hope we can take advantage of the Kickstarters surveys to tell Yu that we want the boat chapter. I forgot about that until just now. If we want this dlc, we'll have to make ourselves heard in the surveys, I guess.

I'm probably being selfish but I'd rather see all the development funds go towards Shenmue 3.

If there's enough money to do the Shenmue chapter 2 as DLC without harming Shenmue 3's development then I'm all for it!

Chapter 2 was just a single scenario if I remember correctly. It'd pretty much just be a more detailed version of the comic strip. Think along the lines of the end of S2 Disc 3 when you revisit Xiuying.
