interview of the founders of ShenmueDojo.net

Postby Benjamin Berget » Mon Oct 19, 2015 5:02 am

Hello,
(the topic of my book is closed, so I created a new topic here)
the English translation of my book is planned. I'd love to add one interview of the founders of the web site SD.net.
Who do I contact for this?

I think that would be Yama, or at least Yama would know where to go. Try pm Yama.

the founder was a guy called Andy Bandos. ownership of the site was later handed over to a forum member.

the site has actually had a somewhat interesting history, it was linked with Gamespy for a while, now gamespy is gone but the dojo is still running.

I could be way wrong. I've no idea why I think that. Was it not Andy Stinson? Wasn't Iwao Hazuki also a founding member? As well as Bybsy?

Andy Stinton is the founder of the first 500k facebook group. I think Iwao Hazuki is the founder of the Dojo.

Ah! That's my bad. 2 Shenmue community creators both called Andy.

Anyways, I forgot Bambi is Chris I think. You're right SC, he is a jock. But for some reason I thought this place was created by a person from the UK. I'm also not sure if LanDC had a hand in the creation of the site, but yea, anyone who joined from around that time would have more info. Iwao, LanDC, Santino, SEF.

The Dojo is now under the control of Yama. Fire him a PM but he is a little busy these days. Hopefully he will be back online soon.

site was originally started by Andy Bandos, known as Andy on the forums back then. Iwaohazuki was a forum admin, and he might have helped run the site too, but i remember him being more active on the forum than the site.

the site was then given to a forum member known as HellRaiser.

LanDC and Ziming were after that i think.

LanDC was a regular forum member back when Andy owned the site, i'm not sure when he became part of management.

I don't know how to reach the original founders. I suggest you email Yama who currently owns it: [email protected]

The website started out as a Shenmuedojo.com, which we recently got back earlier this year.
