Anyone interested in making shenmue 3 with rpg maker vx?

I just want to feel out what the perception would be. I'm a college student/writer/game designer and I am currently making a sequel to Suikoden II.

I think it would be fun to make a Shenmue game for my next project but I would need people to create backgrounds and sprites. You really don't know my resume so it's hard to persuade you but I think it could be a lot of fun. You don't need to decide right now because this project probably wouldn't even begin for months as I'm currently working on my sequel but I just wanted to see what kind of reaction I would get.

Well i'm not new. I've had different accounts over the years on this site.
It's not as hard as you think. If someone can simply draw shenmue backgrounds, then a shenmue 3 would be possible. I have the writing prowess to bring it to life if the resources are there. I've seen people make 3d renderings of Yokosuka so i don't see why asking someone to simply draw is too grandiose an idea.

I have written 7 books. I promise you a great plot above all else and I could even include some voice acting from the original games! It could either be a traditional RPG or a Button Masher RPG.

I just need 1 or 2 artists willing to commit. Here's your chance to play Shenmue 3. If someone shows interests I'll start drafting a story and see what you think.

I don't think RPG Maker is that a good a fit for a Shenmue game to be totally honest, even if it was hack-n-slash instead of turn-based. I started making a Shenmue 1 remake in RPG Maker years ago and it went nowhere, not that yours will do the same. Adventure Game Studio seems like a better fit to me, although it'd mean no combat. I'd help out but I'm making my own RPG in XNA, and even that's on hold at the moment because of uni.

What I think would be awesome would sounds impossible it would be sweet if sega would release shenmue 3 for the dreamcast but like pre-order that stuff. Announce it be like if you want this game we'll make it but your order it first pay for it then yea only a certain amount of games are made but they wouldnt lose money that way you only make what you need to from what you sell...i dont know but i think they got a lot of stuff for this game already and it wouldnt be hard for them to do. Especially for the man Yu himself its far fetched but it would look the best and be the best game and i dont know i think it should be told how he wrote the creator and all. and i think this game should defiantly only be on the dreamcast. thats what they should have done with shenmue 2 and put it out in the US along time ago just dont ship as many copies.
