If Portuguese/Brazilian fans could spread the word, get it on gaming sites it could be great for extra donations!

Does Shenmue have much of a Brazilian following? I know the Master System was big there but what about the Dreamcast?

Is there a large Portuguese forum? I knew of one, but it seems like it's dead.

Just out of interest, anyone know why they're focusing heavy on Europe languages? Is it actually a given that Japanese is not needed since it's obviously going to be voiced in Japanese, but Chinese is ???

Well they haven't announced any. Ryo went looking for a Chinese person that reads Chinese, so i'm sorry for not being specific :P

Are console games popular in China? I've heard they're not, and I imagine that pirating is still rampant there. Are there sales figures for either Shenmue in China--were they even released there?

No, lol, computer games. Chinese don't have a lot of time or feeling for console games. Students go to really dirty and cramped computer cafe's and spend a very low amount of money to play lol all day

they don't have money or time, they are in school and only think of school for the most part.

They play on PC though, right? That's Shenmue 3's main platform.

I doubt they'll care about Shenmue 3 if they haven't played the first two games. It sounds like they're as obscure as can be in China. I'm sure there's a method to Ys Net's madness, even if it's somewhat unclear to us.

I really wish they wouldn't spend money on making so many subtitles and focusing more on actual game content.
Did the original games have that many options anyway??

Drakul, you seem to not understand why they're doing it. They want to ATTRACT more PLEDGES by APPEALING to people who speak other languages. The cost is likely negligible.

I'm Brazilian.

Almost every gamer around here probably knows dreamcast but it didn't sell well back then, playstation 2 nailed it just like in any other place.

It is not hard to find shenmue fans in Brazilian Gamer Communities/forums, but still, there few of them
