I gave up after the Kikizo debacle. What was that... 2006?

Way too many rumors and cheap shots. It's sad.
Just to think Duke Nukem Forever already happened.

i've given up and at this point only want hd remakes.

I think with the success of the Yakuza series it is very unlikely. They are both somewhat similar in setting (in that, it's Japan) but Yakuza has much more broad appeal at a fraction of the cost. Might explain the insane amounts of re-releases the series is getting atm.

So I always hope, but Sega is a company and I understand they will go where the money is.

If Shenmue was similar to Yakuza, Sega would no doubt make SH3 for a quick buck. But Shenmue is by definition no way near the Just Cause, Sleeping Dogs, Yakuza, GTA clones genre.

I'm still hopeful. Look at my sig. As long as Yu Suzuki is physically and mentally able to realise his vision, I won't give up.

With our luck Sega will make the game and then decide not to release it over seas.

This one still bugs me. I remember asking Doree about it on facebook a while after it all went quiet again. He assured me that what he published was given to him from a reliable source but then i think surely something more would have came to fruition afterwards. I wonder if now after all these years calling Doree out would give us anything more to the whole article and what was given to him to go out and publish a major article like he did, i highly doubt it though. I do think he was given bogus information though and someone was having him on.

Hope dies last. As long as Yu Suzuki keeps making games I won’t give up. Even if he stops i don’t think it will mean the end of Shenmue. Maybe someone young with fresh ideas can create shenmue.
