Wow, that's pretty beautiful.
I thought there'd be significance to the fact the date is the day before the bad ending, though...or I may just be too obsessive a fan :P

Well a tree in bloom is just a lot more appealing to show off then a bunch of empty branches.

So, let me get this straight.
One guy basically remakes 50% of Shenmue 1 by himself, doing a truly breathtaking job.
Sega stays silent.

Let me ask the obvious…has Suzuki been made aware of Nocon’s work?

and this is why I want to play flash back scenes at the start of SH3, as well as other parts of the game. Triggered through ryo's sleep, thoughts or whatever.

Do you think it would be possible for fans to send YSNet 3d modelled assets to help them with development.

They would save alot of time and money. Obviously they would have to filter through the assets and choose what's best to include into the project.

On one hand, anything provided could be beneficial re: time and money; positive fan involvement; etc.

On the other, since they’re Japanese, they could see this as losing face (ie “don’t tell me how to do my job”), regardless of your good intentions.

I would say hold off on it.
Curious to hear what others think.

Absolutely amazing.

Ziming - Do you have contact with Kid Nocon? Has Cedric or Suzuki been made aware of his work? I think they should because his passion and work could ultimately help us all with regards to Shenmue III.

No I don't have any contact with him. I'm sure both Cedric and Suzuki know about his work from his previous video.

Apparently Kid Nocon created this in Unreal, so it could easily be added to Shenmue 3 as a playable flash-back scene. The hard part is recreating characters to populate it. Maybe the flashback could happen on a stormy night, which would explain why the stores are closed and the streets empty.

Here's hoping this guy applied for the job postings at Neilo and YsNet recently...

yes, this.

I brought up the idea before and people pointed to many flaws. But, that is why you develop and make I fit context, budget etc

I mean, if you wanted you could blow up, ryo's home. Not that you want to do that, but a dream sequence can be developed to do anything you want is the point.

I thought, going through ryo's home, seeing his dad die in flashes, not the full run would be nice. A few boss fights and, sure running down empty streets in transitions from the road, to the bar etc would easily work to bring nw players up to speed and have us foaming at the mouth to see the locations updated for today's hardware.
