I don't think anyone is going to start literally rubbing it in peoples faces without reason. We just get the satisfaction of being able to immediately shut down any future unwarrented hate of Shenmue when it's out there. As it's now obviously a very proven popular series.
If someone wants to claim Shenmue isnt popular or whatever we can immidiately say;
"Shut up, Shenmue 3 was the fastest project to hit a million ever, the site broke down, everyone at E3 loved it and it's the highest funded video game in kickstarter history."
Boom. Case closed.

I really hope I didn't come off as hostile or anything either guys. It's an emotional time for everyone...I'm still in shock that we're even going through this right now it's crazy.

We don't need to prove anything to no one.

It's still a cult game with a hardcore audience, will get more attention, but we don't need to be ahead of ourselves.

We have everything to prove to everyone actually. Shenmue has been gone for 14 years and you don't think there's anything to prove?

That the game has some hardcore fans it's already proven.

Now it's the game that will have to prove newcomers that Shenmue is an amazing experience.

That's my point of view, I try to not care much about web drama.

I can't agree with the poster at all. As people we should be strong with in our self. Everyone has an opinion and I don't really care if people say my clothes look like shit, nor do I care if they hate Shenmue. Why do you care about them so much?

Be comfortable in one's skin.. if a person wants to be teacher, a prostitute, I say we leave it up to them to decide.

With that said, I don't mind showing things where people were wrong, in a simple and fun discussion. Gloating a bit for things you estimate or guess right is also completely fine. Trash talking on he court and all that is great with friends. Saying we fucking owned it and I owned your ass.. sure I don't mind.

But going out of the way to say fuck people, nah. games are games, money is money. I won't put those things over people even if those people are terrible.
