Shenmue 3 is 10% complete! (re: dev cycle)

Well wait a minute.. how can Shenmue 3 NOT be 10% complete when we're 1/10th of the way into development? I mean if there is a delay then yeah it fucks up the percentage.. but I'm pretty sure we'll have the game by December 2017.

I guess it's also possible that the work is not evenly spread out... maybe 50% of the game is done during the last 25% of the development cycle...

I can't believe Yu-San is going to show off some of Shenmue 3 next week... it's finally going got be real. I'm betting the nuts and bolts of the physical game is nearing 10% complete... regardless the dev cycle of Shenmue 3 is 10% in so the overall "creation" of Shenmue 3 is in effect 10% complete . Also I'm overjoyed at the fact that Choubu will be the same size as Doubuita which was sorta massive when you think about it.

I am very excited to see the new footage. I wish Yu Suzuki and his Team the best things for Shenmue III and i am sure it will be a great game. I'm playing Uncharted 3 from "Nathan Drake-Collection" and it would be fantastic when Shenmue has this graphics, or so similar. A very exciting time stands before.

All that can really be said is, "We're approximately 10% of the way to the currently projected release date." I fully expect the game to be delayed personally. Several times, potentially. And I'm completely okay with that prospect.

Looks like it's a tradition among video gaming crowdfunding and I don't understand how it is possible. A delay is supposed to be a terrible news on the financial plan for little studios, hopefully Shibuya is stronger enough to pay this kind of accident.

They had to announce a release date before they had any idea what the scope of the game was going to be, or how many staff they'd be able to employ. December 2017 gives us a general focal point but we'd be wise to consider it a loose suggestion at best.

I think they need to take their time with regular breaks instead of going crazy and full 100% into development. Sure, it's a lengthy process but it's worth it in the end. Ys Net or whoever the lead give us updates so it's alright.
