Can Twitch streams be recorded and uploaded to Youtube (or somewhere) afterwards?

yes. Its instantly stored after the stream ends, and can be ripped and uploaded to youtube.

Thanks Jibby and SheepheadCG. It should be pretty cool ! It would be super cool if he'd show us some part of shenmue 3 from dreamcast that were a bit developped, but he probably won't.

Hope he has an awesome subscribe button and has updates via twitch.

I hope someone can suggest to him the idea that he allows some kind of weekly footage of the team to be streamed via twitch. Do some simple updates via twitch and create a sub button and allow that money to also go toward the game. Would be pretty cool, even if he just came and said hello and gave a short 10 min progress update, or let us see in game models and things without spoiling anything. maybe someon from here can get a list of questions going to ask him.
hopefully, we can get him to update the kickstarter much more, go ahead and set up a paypal fund and more. is there a list of questions for him anywhere?

that is one of teh things I hope he adds into the game. the end video in shenmue 2 with the saturn stuff was super amazing, I hope to get more of that kind of thing in sh 3, hours of content and video, I'd pay extra for it.

this was one of my original ideas that I never added to my topic, but you reminded me and I put it in. Hope to see you there! viewtopic.php?f=5&t=47982&p=1094777#p1094777

So how do people get to the front page on Twitch? Can't say I've used the site much.

Its upto twitch themselves. They choose who goes on the frontpage.

Surely it will have a chance at the front page though?

We should start a small campaign to get it on the front page.

I would think so.

I'm fairly certain 7:00PM PDT is not 2:00AM GMT, so I'm not exactly sure what the correct time for this twitch stream will be. I'll be tuning in both hours I suppose, but I hope Suzuki is on at least half as long as he was for the AMA. I was pretty impressed with how much time he spent answering questions last week.

There's a fairly easy...but quite advanced - depending on your computer skill - way to make sure there's definitely a backup recorded. You need 2 pieces of software. Livestreamer and VLC Media Player:

LiveStreamer:https://livestreamer.readthedocs.org/en/latest/index.html
VLC: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html

Here's a direct link to the setup file for LiveStreamer if you are on Windows
https://github.com/chrippa/livestreamer/releases/download/v1.12.2/livestreamer-v1.12.2-win32-setup.exe

VLC is very straight forward to download following the link above.

Once both programs are downloaded, make sure they're also both installed, then all you need to do is open notepad.

Once we find out the name of Yu Suzuki's twitch channel you just type this simple bit of code into a blank notepad file:

livestreamer twitch.tv/YuSuzuki source

Just change Yu Suzuki to whatever his channel name is (you can find this out by looking at the URL, it's twitch.tv/something)

Click File > Save As > name the file - start.bat

If you double click this, with a bit of luck VLC player should open and the stream should be shown within this program. You will notice VLC player has a red record dot near to the playback controls, clicking this starts recording the stream to your computer to watch later. Just click the red record dot a second time to finalize the file for playback.

If you want to change the folder where the file will be recorded to, click Tools > Preferences > Input /Codec's > Record Directory or Filename > Browse

It might look like alot of complicated steps, but I feel it's easier when you actually try :)
