Glib responses from Cedric on Twitter don't count.

Unfortunately that's all in the incompetent hands of Awesome Japan, even if Cedric does keep insisting the PC version is coming to PayPal. Just have to keep up the pressure and hope they do something about it.

Part of the development is being done on PC as well, no reason to believe PC version will be released after PS4.

This.

Generally you develop on PC first, then port to console. I can't remember the source but Yu said that's how they're developing Shenmue III. Now, developing on PC doesn't mean you can necessarily push the 'publish' button whenever you want, there needs to be extensive tailoring and testing for PC hardware like there would be for any platform, but considering that is being handled by Shibuya Productions instead of YSnet having to worry about both, I don't see Shenmue III shipping on PC and PS4 at separate dates.

Didn't they say that they are developing for PS4, and the pc version will be handled by Shibuya?

Edit: nvm, they just said Shibuya will publish it

His exact words:
"It’s not so simple. The prototypes are being made on PC, but then production shifts to PS4, and then to PC again. It’s like PC, PS4, PC. It really depends on which phase of development we are in."

Nice to see it isn't slowing down. Fingers crossed for a late March/early April update for another little boost. I think it's time we had a peek at the new character models.

Yeah, I'd love to get a peak at the newer models of Ryo and Shenhua. Something's telling me they're saving them for E3, though. Maybe a reveal in a more or less cinematic trailer there.

I don't think we'll get a trailer like that until next year to be honest. Those trailers require a lot of the cutscenes to be complete, and I'm not so sure they're at that stage of development just yet.

Upgrades and PC would help them out, but I'm sure they're aware and their hands are tied.

Well…$6.6M is definitely happening.
I’m still secretly waiting for some rich Chinese investor to drop $1-2M at anytime, though.

Quantum Break was delayed by Microsoft because there were too much competition at the initial date.

Perhaps Sony would throw a little extra cash, thinking a delay would be worth the money after have checked all the good work done by YSnet so far and the ideas that Yu was unable to develop yet.
