In those lists there isn't anything that can be described as the big announcement they promised.

It's not over yet.

To create more press coverage.
Whats gonna generate more publicity, Shenmue 3 announced quietly on an E3 list or part of a highly anticipated shock announcement?

and the return of several classic SEGA franchises like Sonic The Hedgehog ®, Virtua Figher™, and Samba de Amigo™
Like those games - in other words those games among others....? (Not that I believe S3 will be at E3, but I'm just sayin'...

Well, duh! It wouldn't exactly be a big announcement if they told you in advance what the big announcement was going to be, would it! The big announcement was couched in terms of "Just you wait and see what we're going to launch!" So they're definitely going to say nothing about that before the big day!

Long, long experience. And a refusal to build my hopes up.

It's entirely a personal thing. I see no evidence of a Shenmue announcement so I think the chances of it are low. But, you know, that's just me ... and like everybody else here, I don't know anything.

I forgot to say that since SEGA have announced a bog standard Sonic Team and AM2 lineup, nobody has mentioned Shenmue, and nobody has mentioned Digital Rex, I'm beginning to suspect that we're not going to be hearing the promised DR launch at E3 (whatever it is) either. The May 12 Announcement has been speculated to be a lot of things, but not "Yu Suzuki's new thing", or "Digital Rex's launch projects" or anything like that. So in fact I'm actually expecting E3 to be a double disappointment. We'll just have to see if I'm right or wrong.

I think 70% chance, but of course that's what I am personally thinking, I could be terribly wrong.

Being right or wrong doesn't matter - if it gets announced, I will be 100% wrong and you will be 100% right. And the other way round if it doesn't.

I say 1%. To me, Muecas closing means a death sentence for now.
But, I'm still hoping for a miracle. [-o< Of course, I could be wrong.

I'd say the game has a 5% chance of being announced.

that small number, merely being the muecas closing and that digitalrex has said nothing to get us on our toes.

Muecas closed, yes, but that doesnt mean the end of Shenmue. They might just wanne change the site. If they gave up on Shenmue, then why did they recently come up with an English version of the shenmue.com site? And why is there a link from Digital Rex's website?

Well, I know it's been a while since the release of Shenmue II, this may end up being the same as Max Payne 2 was done. They are silent for a really long time, then out of nowhere (or at E3 ;)) they explain how they have been in development for a while, release screenshots and videos and promise a release in a few months.

Hey, I can dream can't I?
