One last final chance for Shenmue 3

I believe if the game is ever gonna be made, Then this is where they will announce it.

If they dont then I will continue to play on shen 1 and 2 when i'm bored but i'll give up on shenmue 3 ever being made.

Because people lets face it, it's going on a bit now.

Even some of you are realising this.

It was just like yesterday when it was 2002/2003 when we were talking of 2005/2006 as if they were eons away, but guess what? time flew by at the speed of light and here we are in the closing weeks of 2004 and almost in 2005, half way through the decade, can you believe how fast time flew between 2000 to 2005? we've even had two presidential elections!

Times just going on now.

But as I say, Jan 5th.

If nothing happens, then I dont know about you, but I have to move on,

Im sorry but you have left and returned and promised to leave again by dates and so on and so fourth. Can i also point out that reporter and pilcher always seem to pop up only when Louis and TEEPO are unbanned? Is this not a common trend, or is it just me?

You don't seem to have one.

Even though I'm relatively new, I've learned from the reactions of others that you seem to say this every time something major comes along. I'm not sure whether it's you or a few other people (I know a few other people do as well) say "it's definitely going to be there" and try to get everyone's hopes up. Then have some crap excuse when it doesn't.

I agree that it's probably time to move on because it's getting a little ridiculous now. On the other hand, no company in the history of videogaming has jerked its fanbase around like SEGA has done to its Shenmue fans while never coming out with a concrete answer. If we were to all just throw our hands up now and stop caring, that would probably be the final nail in the coffin that is Shenmue's future. Yea it probably won't come out but until SEGA announces anything for certain the ball is still in the air.

I don't, seems as the news that Shenmue 3 will be exclusive to Xbox was disregarded months and months ago. I think it's safe to say that Yu Suzuki won't be taking any risks this time and will pick a console that will sell the most copies and I think Playstation and Nintendo still have more 'fan-boys' than Microsoft probably ever will.

Im starting to realize the chances for S3 now, slowly going down :( Hopefully its named soon, but with SO now in the picture, im not sure that it will be :(

I don't think we should lose hope.

SEGA is STILL financing thier own money in this franchise through this online game. If Shenmue Online becomes pretty popular (and if it's really fun) then they'll make money and possibly consider finishing Shenmue III.

I mean, fans want it. And if SO makes alot of money, i'm sure it'll be considered in a future rooster.

Heck, if they wanted to cancel this project and leave it to die, why didn't they just announce that? Also, Yu Suzuki keeps making suspicious comments like "You'll see" along with the HUGE financing for this game, WITH an indication that it MIGHT be sold worldwide.

BIG "What the hell....?" right there.


Obviously there's more to it than we know, so we just have to wait and see. I for one, based on these facts and observations, am not losing hope.

If SIII isn't released I'm forming an angry mob that will hunt Yu down.Sometime AFTER Shenmue Online is released SIII will most likely be announced because SO is basicly a way to gather money.
