Pertaiing to this topic.. whats wrong with it.. would you like it if this did not have to do with shenmue or have it's name.. atleast it shows the series is not dead at all.

Some people are just ungreatful, I mean come on.

Its nothing to do with gratefulness, its the fact that we've eagerly been anticipating Shenmue III's release and we deserve to be told about its future straight up. I mean its been nearly 5 years since the Shenmue II, we could di with some answers very soon.

As for Shenmue Online; I couldn't care less about it. Why create an online game for a saga that was never completed?

Shenmue III will come, i'm sure of it. Lets hope we finally get some answers in 2006.

Here's my question: What will be the advertisement campaign for Shenmue Online?

I don't recall Shenmue 1 or 2 having a great deal of advertisement other than a few commercials and mentionings in magazines via review/preview articles. I would think that was because so much went into the development that they didn't have much fundage left to bring much media attention to the series. Just speculation though.

I wouldn't say Shenmue Online is poorly developed but I wonder if maybe they're using it as a method to grow the Shenmue fanbase by spending more money on advertising or what.

Shenmue Online won't interfere with Shenmue III's future at all I don't think.

Do you really think that if there was no Shenmue Online, Shenmue III would be comming our way? I don't think so. With or without it we'd be pretty much in the same situation.
