at least you and terry had played the games if it was a case of how it sometimes is in hollywood and it was made by someone who hadn't played a computer game at all I don't think it would work.

if that was the case i really doubt theyd take that much time to make the film in the first place, one thing i love is the way they rip on things only a hardcore shenmue fan would really find funny, such as kondo san nodding in the tomato convenience store saying bummer man and the tapes being in on mondays, the gang members all looking the same and small things like that, thats what really made me laugh the most though all 3 films the references...gulp gulp gulp, OHH-AHH xD

ill play shenmue....one day. mike and i have been talking since freshman year about switching his dreamcast for my ps2 over one of our breaks so i could play it.

problem is final fantasy is so much cooler than shenmue. id rather play them.

November 1st, 2006: New pic & clip of the month are up here on the main page, and the About Us page has gotten a much-needed update. Now that Shenmue III is finally finished (go buy it if you haven't already), it's time to start looking towards the future! Here's a little breakdown of what's coming up:

- Shenmue II: TGE Remastered - Just like we did with Shenmue I a while back, the 2nd movie is in need of some polishing to bring it up to our current standards. Hopefully, we'll get around to fixing it up over Christmas break.

- Doin' Stuff 6: The Final Injustice - Mike, Tyler and Joey are now in their FINAL year of college at UIC. That means that this will also be their final year of producing short projects for classes, which is why this will likely be the LAST of the Doin' Stuff series.

- Video Vendetta - The Gang's next original movie project focuses on Mike, Tyler and Joey battling the Council of Elders and a slew of "video artists" to obtain their film degrees. The movie will be similar to The Search for Pappas as it will be split into 3 shorter episodes: Raiders of the Lost Degrees, Campus of Doom, and The Last Effort. We actually hope to use this idea as part of our graduating thesis project!

Also, Jakes and his crew at Rebel Entertainment have been hard at work on Freedom Fighters 2, and Mike and Terry are developing an original script for Mike's screenwriting class which may or may not eventually be produced. Stay tuned for more info about all these projects!

PS: We've had several reports of glitchy 2nd discs from people who bought Shenmue III. The files have been re-rendered, hopefully fixing the problem, so let us know if you got a glitchy disc and we'll send you a free replacement.

Unusual that he didn't mention the monthly update. Thanks. He probably didn't post anything because there wasn't much Shenmue III related news. Anyway, it's true that there are several people complaining about a glitchy disc 2. We've ironed out the problem so let Mike know if you need a replacement.

I'm afraid not many people have the guts to send them, but you're used to talking
at camera, aren't you? It'd be great if you do that for all the Shenmue fans.

Yeah I saw the clip of the month it was an interesting idea to make fun of the durracel bunny. Not to mention going to war with it.

It didn't start of as a topic about the gang editions more about someone else planning a series of shenmue movies of their own. However the gang editions did come up and there has been some criticism about filming you guys filming in a graveyard. (I just saw it as a big jump from when you used to film in your basement and around your neighbourhood.)
