Tokyo Game Show

2009, Tokyo Game Show.... probably the most appropriate place to remind Sega of Japan that we exist. Is there any plan for some action?

Who's going there? It'll take place from August 24th till August 27th.... and the last two days will be open to the public.
There's still plenty of time.... ;) ;)

I was going to try and fly to Japan myself this year. I was going to tape up "We Want Shenmue" posters all over Segas booth... but alas I did not save enough this year :(

I was also gonna have a drink with Kiyuu..... oh well, I still owe you one

Dude you so need to print up <a href="http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=170267884&albumId=722012">"we want Shenmue"</a> posters from the myspace page and tape them up on Sega's booth!

Depends who I bump into- I'll be there on the public open days (saturday and maybe sunday) so it'll depend if SEGA reps will be there on those days.

But seriously, print up multiple copies of one of the <a href="http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=170267884&albumId=722012">"We Want Shenmue" Posters</a> and post them at Sega's booth! Take pictures and we'll post them on Shenmue Myspace, and try to get Kotaku to run a story.

I agree: if you can do something that's visible for many people, it's perfect. Posters are a great idea, they'd be reported on videogame websites and, if they don't appear too simple, somebody may even think it was Sega itself who made them, to get some hype....

That's odd, it's usually in September.

While i don't expect Shenmue 3 to surface, I do hope to see Yu... his latest arcade racer SEGA Race TV should come to consoles sooner or later, and if not, let's hope we he at least announces some new game. Yu Suzuki Game Works vol. 2?!

It should be a great show this year, hopefully (last year's was so disappointing). A new Yakuza to show... Team ICO's new game... hopefully Mikami's two new projects... Mizuguchi's new project as well... I can't wait

Shenmue 3 will not be there, nor Shenmue in any way.
But it should be some action of our part.

B_Ren, do something, really. However small.
Don't do anything pathetic but do something, however insignificant it may seem.

I've still got a bit of planning to do but my plane tickets and hotel are now both booked. I arrive friday day time so have some time to relax and chill before going TGS the next day (when its open to the public)

I have about 10 days to fill but I'll sort that out next month. I want to buy like a months pass for the trains so I don't need to mess around buying tickets everyday. There more I get sorted here the easier it should be.
