Shenmue Myspace Campaign

Shenmue Myspace Campaign

Postby 2ndOpp » Tue May 11, 2010 8:40 pm

I owe you guys a big apology for slowing down with the Myspace campaign. It's been a long while since I've updated the site or done any major projects like the mass mailing. I'm just completely enveloped in my return to college, job issues, and my lovely new girlfriend :) I don't want the site to fall into complete disuse, so i'm looking for a person or two to do updates and launch/continue projects. I guess we can have people cast their names in, and then do a poll vote of some sort. If you'd like to be in the running start your reply with ************ (your name) for Shenmue Myspace

On that note, I noticed recently Ziming linked the Dojo YT account to T&F. Good for those who use it I suppose.

I agree that you should grow to Twitter and Facebook, but don't completely abandon MySpace yet, there's still plenty of Japanophiles on there that would dig Shenmue.

Myspace is for teens and most shenmue fans are now are older.
forget twitter is it just a temporally trend.
Facebook is here to stay.
Create a mailing list instead.
Email is the number 1 form of communication in the internet and everyone checks their email all the time.
email is better because you can go after the fans instead on fans going after you and entering myspace to check news.
Seriously I never check my myspace or facebook groups lately actually I never went back to them after I joined them....
also I am part of your myspace group and I forget about it... see?
I Always check my Email but I rarely check facebook and less myspace.

The only reason I use myspace is to see friends profiles pics that are on private. also most people that use it is because of the stupid game of who has the most picture comments...
Also there is ning.com a niche social media
I am the owner of shenmue.ning.com.
Pm if you want I may give you the account I am not using it anyway.
I was planning to use it for the campaigns ideas I had but right now I don't have the patience and time to deal with it.
Also most people here had no interest in it.

I'd like to keep it going for the 2000 people that are fans... I just don't have the free time :( Is there anyone who wants to take over?

Classes are going good, rockin a 3.7

I'm tempted but without new campaign ideas and lack of motivation there's no point. Are the current members/fans still active?
