I imagine alot of you want to know more details about what was exactly said during the presentation past what sites have reported on. So using what Japanese I know and with further help from my wife, ive put together a rough translation of key bullet points in order from what they were discussing.
So far ive been able to do the first video. I'll try and do the rest when possible. If anyone else can translate well enough for the rest id appriciate that aswell.
Part 1
-The story of Shenmue takes place in a relitively peaceful time in the 1980's
-Player's will work with Ryo Hazuki towards accomplishing his goals
-Theirs three basic types of user selectable characters in Shenmue Gai.
-Kenshi: Use martial arts solely. Karate and Kung Fu
-Kishi: Use tools/weapons are "street fighters"
-Shenshi: Use magic
-Male or Female is selectable regardless of class type
-The fighting gameplay is similar to a more complex rock paper scissors (kinda like Pokemon)
-This will be a "social" fighting type game as you progress in the story
-The user is essentially playing through Shenmue 1's story. Supporting it in a new manner.
-The player starts out as a student of the Hazuki Dojo
-You can play with Ryo
-Yu Suzuki is adding some original untold side stories that were unable to make it into the original dreamcast game
-In My Page you can choose to "Explore", "Event", "Train or learn moves"
-At the momment Shenmue Gai will feature a total of 31 stages
-Character NPC's give new events to users
-Character NPC's can teach moves to the user, expanding the move list until you become a master
-Players will clear events to proceed to the next stage, this will usually end with a boss.
-You can choose which events you want to do when you obtain them
-Kung Fu is not selectable to use at first but rather later on in the game because it contains secret moves
-Players will have an ID card for themselves their Dojo and players that are a part of the Dojo
-Once you are able to own and build up your own Dojo, you can participate in multiplayer battles
-Dojo's have ranks and fight against other Dojo's
-If you dont play the game often, your Dojo rank with regressively go down
