Where the fuck did you get a 1000$ that's so expendable? I never seen a 1000$ in my life. No one has that kind of money Esp on a silly game

I have $1000 saved up.

You must be rich then.

nah, I'm not wealthy but since I live with my mother I don't pay much rent so I can afford donating $1000 for Shenmue 3 development.

Regardless of opinions on DLC in general, if the choice ultimately came down to Shenmue III DLC or no Shenmue III at all, im sorry but if you chose not to purchase it due to it being DLC then thats just being petulent.

No. Just be pointless. You can play it sure but thenit would be gone in alotted time. And can never play again. Why would I want that kind of torture? At least of my Game disc breaks or DC breaks can find another one. One that is shut down. Pfft it's gone. Why would you want to creat e a video game memory and cherish it not being able to revisit it 20 years in the future?
Fuck that.

Thats simple. Unless you throw away the storage system you have the game downloaded unto, then you can fire it up anytime you like. Its no different than firing up your Genesis to play YS 3, or your SNES to play Zelda. Retro will always be a part of gaming, and DLC will be no different. I understand the frustrations with DLC, but its the future of entertainment as a whole. To turn your back on it and try to live a life free of downloading & streaming would be foolish. Your choice and life though.

I'm a collector I collect. I'm a person who appreciates art and half that art id missing with packaging so it's an unfinished product. I will only support a finished product. Physical and DLC can co exist for many years to come another 20 even. So either give me the full product to put on my shelf to fully appreciate or a half assed thing I can just ignore. But if I recall Shenmue series wanted to push all bounds and be a full experience. Not a partly done lazy effort.

You can't download a great painting to your wall. I don't want in a file. But something I can proudly display for all to see and marvel and you of all people should know that

I'm sure someone would find a way of being able to burn it onto disk, though. And then all you'd be missing is packaging, and in this day and age it's actually not too hard to make better packaging for an item yourself. So with a bit off effort, you could still have something to show off, if you wanted.

I'd take DLC Shenmue over no Shenmue any day, the experience of the game is all I want. And Peter is right, downloadable games with no premade physical form is the future (and probably not too distant future at that), as much as a dinosaur as I am, not even I can deny that.

Heck, if it started to shape up (moving from pipe dream to "wow, this is actually happening") i would probably splurge another £300, no joke.

You hear of people buying consoles just for one game. Why not just buy that ONE GAME!

Official only as the artist himself should put out the full product of art. Not leave it to the fans. That's lazy and lose all respect for Yu

Same here. I had not a single intention of buying any console back then, and felt that the online era of consoles would be what ended my video game interest

I'd give $350 bucks without batting an eye. Anything more would require some additional motivation (my contribution is the difference in getting this made, dinner with YS, etc)

I haven't got a lot of money, but I would donate.
How much?
Being a realist, I'd say about 20-30$. It's not much, but it's still better than nothing.
