Hmm. It's not very compelling to look at, but it certainly can't hurt if people want to do that. Anything that adds a new flavor to each month's Tweetathon is a bonus.

Like OR I hope we can set a certain month to really show we will throw down the cash. SHow our collections. Show we buy the jacket in XBL. If only Sumo will release Ryo in Transformed then we could for sure make a statement

How many tweets does the average session of this yield? And do you ever get whatever hashtag you're using to trend anywhere?

I don't think it's ever trended during the Tweetathon, although it has apparently happened when we weren't even trying. That's the murky science of Twitter. Trending relies heavily on what else is going on at any given moment. You can have far fewer tweets on a subject one day than the previous, and stand a higher chance of trending because of what it's up against.

At the moment though I still see trending as a long term goal rather than something I expect to see with each new month. The most important thing is raising awareness of the event and drawing in more participants through other channels. Trending will then take care of itself, and create a tipping point where even more people get involved because they saw it trending.

I may have asked this before. Tried sending a PM to Happy Console Gamer on Youtube? A guy with 50k subs and a known Sega/Shenmue fan. Maybe he can promote the tweetathon. He is a member of SD but not posted in a while.

There was some talk on the Shenmue500K group on Facebook where Adam agreed to mention the various aspects of the online Shenmue community in a coming video, though I honestly can't remember whether the Tweetathon was specifically included in that.

Quick guys! All we need is a handful of terminally ill children, and force them to wish for Shenmue III!
Then we just have to pray that a charity will throw millions of dollars at a corporate company.

I think we should make a timeline of suggestions on how to get Shenmue 3 from 2003 till now. This is apparently how low we've gotten.
