What does and does not make Shenmue gameplay great?

You demand Shenmue III but what will make it worthy of being great again in terms of
actual gameplay and character playability?

So what gameplay features or gameplay progressions do you think must or should be
in any current gen revamp of Shenmue?

And what elements importantly should never ever be included and why?

I would personally like to see the same controller scheme, using triggers to run and face buttons for the notebook and such.
However, these controls would not justify the game in current generation setups. :(

I would never ever want Shenmue to fall into the release and then deploy DLC BS.
I want an entire game in one package, although we all know Sega will do this because of Shenmue's financial fiasco.

I would also like to see a special thanks section for everyone in the Shenmue community, because if it comes out, we are pretty much the sole reason why. Aside from Yu Suzuki's love of his creation.

I'm pretty sure the Dojo hasn't got enough available space for me to list all the changes I'd make, none of which would be necessary anyway.

I'm curious what they would be Dave. You usually give very detailed and interesting responses. Shoot some out there.

Well, I do feel we could use a bilingual version of the game. SEGA actually responded to making the Ryu Ga Gotoku series released in Japanese with English subs after the first game. Shenmue 2 on Dreamcast in the US was supposed to keep Japanese language with English subs as well. I think that would be awesome. But I am sure there will be English since Suzuki liked the English version.

if possible, I would like free form practicing in empty areas like in the first game. I don't like how that was taken out of the second game.

I also wonder what arcade games could be included. Like more Out Run? Maybe Virtua Fighter in 1987?

An event QTE arcade game?

Project DIVA mini games?
