Why Shenmue's Future Only Makes Sense on PS4.

Its feisty in here! But for real, I love the dreamcast but that thing was dead in the water by the time Shenmue II was supposed to come out. The Xbox version of Shenmue II had enhanced graphics (most people don't have a VGA cable). Also the small Xbox controller was worlds better than the dreamcast controller. Those dreamcast controller buttons were spaced too far apart and the cord was like 2 feet long. I did want to carry my game over, I remember being really excited for that feature.

If you carry your game over from I to II does it start at a continued date, or is it always that set date?

18 days pass between leaving Yokosuka and arriving in Aberdeen. The default (or "new game") start date is 21st Feb 1987.

They could have given you a few extra days so you didn't have to rush to do the birthday stuff.

So I could leave Japan January 1st and get to Hong Kong January 19th? Then just have to sit around a long time to do Fengmei's birthday sequence? Sorry I don't know, I've never been able to carry my progress over。

I'd buy an Xbone for it if it was an Xbone exclusive, but Phil Spencer recently said he has no interest in funding Shenmue3 , so it's unlikely
