Make it happen...

Hi,

my name is Robert and I played Shenmue pretty late, in 2007 on the Dreamcast. I was amazed, by what I've experienced, so I naturally sought a copy of Shenmue II after that, which I bought for an insane price, considering it was a used game, still one GD Rom was broken so I had to get yet another copy just to finish this awesome game.

Now I'm not a hardcore gamer, like I used to be in the good old days, I dont even own a console anymore, but I still wait to play this one game, that needs to be made.

I think we all have waited long enough so it is time for some action. I will donate as much as I can, including some of my free time to make this a reality.

For now it would be great if you took part in this survey and ask your friends and everyone, you know, who played shenmue or would like to play it, to do the same.

If this survey is successful, I want to get in contact with Yū Suzuki and Sega Officials and have a Kickstarter Campaign running by the end of this year.

The kickstarter route is very much a possibility Yu Suzuki is thinking about turning to himself. But first he needs a proper publisher, co-developer(in partnership with Suzuki's own private studio) and use of rights. None of which we as fans have power over. However Yu Suzuki has assured us recently he is hard at work in trying to put it all together for us.

What we do have the power to do and help Yu Suzuki with, is to have our voice heard. And our voices have been heard all over the industry from the President and CEO of Sony Playstation to Microsoft Xbox. The only people who dont seem to ever acknowledge us, or like to in a positive way is Sega themselves.

So like I said, join up, participate, invest in a stress ball and keep participating.

Yu Suzuki talks too much about what he is planning (kickstarter...), but in the next months nothing will happen. Shenmue is a very expensive Game-Series, more most expensive than a new GTA, in my opinion. But the big hope is, that there were many Games they are not announced yet (FallOut 4, Half-Life 3 ...).

Yakuza is a proof that a shenmue like game can be very cost reduced and still produce benefits.
