I honestly don't know what to think of this. Just recently, we had the whole Dr Canavero coincidences shit with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, so there's every possibility this is just another series of eerie coincidences, but we're Shenmue fans, so of course this is going to get us talking .

Indeed, that patch is exactly the same as in Ryo's jacket (minus the colours; it looks rather engraved). - However, my hunches tell me and I smell a very sneaky and well made orchestrated hoax.

Something, like, someone made a 3D model of Ryo, petals with I, II and III cuts, then add some SEGA, SQUARE ENIX, PS4, Steam logos and some tiny words, just to make it look like a leaked image. Seems like he took that picture from his TV/PC monitor in his house, not from some private meeting et cetera.

Piece of nasty thing to Shenmue fans, but in the same time this is crazy in a laughable/hilarious way, haha.

A brown leather jacket over a white shirt? With a very slight hint at the patch that's on Ryo's jacket? Three leaves with 1, 2, 3 cuts? I don't want to get my hopes up that much yet. It could be a fake alltogether or just edited to make it look more Shenmue related. It could be for some Yakuza game or another project but damn does this look like a proper Shenmue teaser.

I'd say this person made the mistake of taking a picture from the upper right corner if he wanted to make it seem like it was from a conference (how would he get all the way up there)

So, it's fake after all? That's a bummer . I came to the realisation long ago that Shenmue III was most likely never going to happen, but when something so specific, convincing and enticing as this crops up completely out of the blue, it really does get the blood flowing.

That's how I am. Every. Time. But the first thing I do is check the source of the article. If it's a site I've never heard of I disregard the information.

Simple guide to not get your hopes up:
- Do not believe rumours at all costs! (The kind of ones that tell you when and where Shenmue HD or 3 will be announced or released.) - If it is not official (that is, if it is not from Yu Suzuki or SEGA or SONY or Microsoft or Nintendo or Steam or any other reputable voice), then do not believe it. - [Gaming websites are not reputable voices. NONE OF THEM!]

After all these years, we should not look at rumours anymore. - Only something official.

At first I thought this had like a 20% chance of being true. Square Enix in recent years have bought people like Eidos and publish games like CoD in Japan so are expanding their horizons slowly. The part that makes me not buy it is the fact that they wouldn't announce they're publishing 3 games for a failed series. I could understand if it was just remake of part one so they could test the waters. Doesn't make business sense to announce 3 games at once.

Plus the jacket emblem is off.
