I just thought it has the potential to reach a large audience, even if they only check out the kickstarter page it's a start. You have to set it to view recent comments instead of most popular by the way. Keep the suggestions coming! :)

That's brilliant!!! How could I have not thought of PewDiePie... He's has the biggest number of subscribers ever!! I will do that too and also beg the guy to do a PLAYTHROUGH. That should move people around for the cause! I'll start spamming right now. Thanks man! Anything goes at this point!

I'm trying to keep the 3rd of the month thunderclap going, except this time encouraging people to add $30 to their pledge. Check it out:

Also let's ask Conan O'Brien Clueless Gamer to try to play the game. It would be hilarious!

That guy only does actual promotions, and I don't think he'll be cheap.

I've been spamming everywhere like there is no tomorrow, Gamefaqs is my main hunting ground, too many infidels there. :)

I'm back at my home so I've been thinking on doing a short shenmue kickstarter game in unity.

Do any of you guys have any ideas ?

I had two ideas, one of a shitty shooter with some sarcastic comments like "featuring random spaceguy n1" and whatnot then putting a sign "tired of the same videogames" and then a couple of shenmue videos and a link to the kickstarter.

And the other idea was based on the concepts of the 4 wude and "translating" them to the shenmue fan community and the struggle to make it happen.

I have pretty much a good third person controller with animations, fps, dialogue system and QTE systems already done, so do any of you have any ideas to contribute ?

You're right. I typed that without thinking much of it. Actually I meant to "spam" his comment sections as his videos are really popular.

Can you build it that fast? Then how about a third person action game that has go through so many tutorials before the actual game starts, and in the end you put on screen "Tired of hand holding? Shenmue 3 has none of that!" ?

Or a RPG where you have keep grinding the same enemies over and over? Then put on screen "Tired of grinding and number crunching? Then go play Shenmue 3!"

Actually this video alone would have sold me on Shenmue today, even if I didn't know about the series:

Depending in the concept I can do it fast, like 2 days. I'm using Adventure creator and UFPS, and have some animations from the game I'm doing.

I'll need to program the rpg element, so that's a "no" for now. I can do the tutorial one.

I'll start tomorrow probably with the FPS/tutorial, to see how it goes.

I just tweeted it out and will keep doing so frequently on my Twitter account. Hopefully I can gather pledges that way. Also as a Youtuber I will be mentioning it at the beginning of my next video and in my streams that I do daily.

I have 153k followers on twitter and over 400k subscribers on Youtube. Hope I can help as much as I can as this for me is a dream come true. I've also pledged $500 and will probably pledge more once higher options are available.

Best thing we can do aside from spamming the world is educating non-fans on Shenmue, and highlighting its many great things(OST, story, characters, minigames, freedom).

Jrpg fans are a good target because many play rpgs mainly for the story and for the OST.

Bruce Lee/Van Damme/Steven Seagal fans are another great target, if you see one attack!!!

Then people that like eastern culture (anime fans?) are another target, if you know any that play games aswell show no mercy!

Casual gamers, sports fan and dudebros are a lost cause, better to not waste time there.

Sadly i have no skill on video editing or fan art making or writing articles, but if you do any of those make sure to post it here and i'll spam the world with it!

Like i said before my main hunting ground is Gamefaqs and as soon as i catch a possible target i immediately contact them and explain Shenmue, and then i instruct them via pm on how to play the games with the NullDC. Chances are 9 people out of 10 will probably tell me "yeah i'll check it out" and then do nothing, but if at the end of the kickstarter i'll have made even just 5 new Shenmue fans, i'll consider it a success.

Can you make a montage highlighting some of the best moments/fights in the games? maybe with some hype music in the background?

Btw you just gained a follower and a subscriber... i'll retweet/like/share everything.

I have updated my first post. Those are very good ways to help generating funds for the campaign.
The T-shirt one can be a good alternative for those who don't feel like pledging for digital items. Please spread the word!
