Well?

I guess I got too old to cry about video games, but saying that i got excited and pledged a hundred bucks already means a lot by my terms...

I did weep.

And I did shed a couple of tears for almost two hours thinking if this was really happening.

I cried! It's okay because I'm a girl!

I would have cried if I wasn't at work - I had to keep it together :-P

I didn't exactly cry. As a 34 year old I did run around my living room at 3am British time punching the air letting out little shrills with all the energy of my 13 year old former self who had just unwrapped his Super Nintendo on Christmas day 1993.

Woke my girlfriend, house-mate and cat up with that one.

I cry all the time when watching movies or whatever if something is genuinely emotionally well-executed. But I didn't cry with the announcement of Shenmue 3. Damn near stoked, pledged money I shouldn't have, and refreshing too many things to count, but I didn't cry.

I think I would have had more of a reaction if I had been watching the conference live, but instead I just saw a little headline in the top corner of IGN that said "Shenmue 3 revealed"... Which was still pretty cool but didn't have the "oh shit" sudden realization that it seems a lot of people experienced who were watching it live.

I cried watching The tomb of the fireflies and when my best friend died in a car crash.
This was the third time. It's good it's for a good reason this time.

No I didn't but like Mittens, smiled and thought, yeah man we did it.

No tears at the live, it was too shocking.

They finally came at the replay, exactly at the moment they're showing images from previous Shenmue with all the familiar characters.

I shed a tear, when I woke up this morning I had a text from a friend that just said 'I guess you're going to buy a PS4 then?' Straight away I knew that Shenmue 3 must have been announced. I've always said that if Shenmue 3 was announced I would buy whatever machine it was on, it didn't matter how much it cost I would have it. I rushed online saw about the Kickstarter and pledged immediately without even thinking. I've spent the whole day hitting refresh and watching with amazement as stretch goals have been getting destroyed. It's awesome to see that other people are as passionate as I am about this.

Recently I've been weighing up which machine to get myself for the current gen, that decision has now been made. (Although I'll probably get an Xbox One as well because of EA Access.)

I bawled my eyes out for a good few minutes, i used to play / watch my older brother play in the earlier 2000's and we bonded over the game quite a bit, talked about how we thought the story would end etc. Hes dead now so he wont be able to finish it, but i certainly will. RIP
