I would bet that Yu wants to know his budget at the end of the KS campaign so that he knows exactly what he is working with.

That would help in planning, obviously.

But you'd have to be crazy not to accept free money to make the game of your dreams. at least accept money for the next 6 months or something. I mean we're not seeing the game for at least 2.5 years, that's plenty of time to adjust to getting more money added to your budget.

I guess in this case "thinking about it" means: "I will definitely do it but I don't want to kill off the Kickstarter now, so wait until after the Kickstarter and then bring me your money."

I could manage up to £500 a month via Paypal after the KS is over. That works out to just under $800. Let's hope they can get a Paypal option up

If paypal doesn't become an option we should seriously rally/campaign or whatever the fuck in order to make it happen. It will literally be a "let us give you money" campaign -- which is hilarious to me. I could manage to give X amount of money every month, I'm sure many others could as well.

They have just updated some of the FAQ this morning, so I'd guess (hope) that they are busy working on adding the new reward tiers.

The Shenmue 3 Kickstarter will only be offering the digital download version for the PlayStation Network. If a physical copy was added as a reward, an announcement would be made on the update page.

Currently we are planning development only for PC (Windows) and PS4. Other platforms have not been decided yet. If other platform versions were added as rewards, an announcement would be made on the update page.
