Only 2 Million?

I'm sure there's been a topic on this but with all the new topics on here I couldn't find it so I apologize for that. The first two games combined cost 70 million. How is 3 going to be made with a measly 2 million? Granted more than 2 million will/has been donated, but the goal was origInally two Million.

The kickstarter was just used to gauge interest. Sony is backing them, possibly others. The actual budget is above 2 million.
Plus the fact that that 70 million for the first two games included a lot more than just the literal game development, so realistically this game won't cost that much anyway.
Don't worry, they seem to have it all thought out.

Four people have donated ten thousand. I'd be pissed if I donated ten thousand to help with a two Million budget while Sony has a second fifteen million (or how ever Much) budget as well

They're in it for the perks.

LanDC was one of them.

Ya sorry but alot of people out there keep forgetting these arent donations. $29-$500 gets you varrying amounts of actual product and goods. We are all making a purchase when we use kickstarter. I for one spend $500 on the stuff that came in that tier because I actually think the items are worth it especially as a collector.

And those items, more often than not, are exclusive to the campaign.

Is it an insane amount of money? Yah, but gamers have deep pockets.

Read the FAQ. Sony, Shibuya Productions and possibly other outside sources (Sega?) are backing Ys Net up.

I personally think that what is in the stretch goals now are the things Yu failed to reach an agreement on while negotiating the game with those (external) sources.

E. g.: Outside sources were not willing to pay for translations (subtitels) into other languages than English, so Yu had to fund it through Kickstarter. Outside sources are not gonna pay for a Rapport System, Skill tree and extra mini games. Also it seems outside sources cut down the Baisha Village Infiltration Event in size because it seems not worth spending that much money on it to those sources. That's why Yu put up the "Expanded Infiltration Mission" Goal on Kickstarter to be able make the scene in the way he wants it to be done.
