I see i'm not the only one angry at how they are handling the kickstarter..... at least they responded to my private messages so i could give them a few more suggestions.

And sadly the pledges have been very very slow today, they have been fucking doing nothing to attract newcomers, the KS page is a fucking disgrace that doesn't even tell a tenth of what Shenmue is.

Admittedly it is a little disheartening to see goals of $200'000 each adding more content to the game. All I want is a PS4 physical copy for the game more than anything else.

I agree. The Kickstarter is focused very much on just existing fans. They need to draw in all the people who have heard of Shenmue and think its about just finding sailors and capsule toys.
They need to inform people on a mass scale again with a quick digest video.
Perhaps that job will be left to us.
So maybe someone should make said video to spread around the internet.

And to be honest, the video is quite bad.. Well the "do you know how to jump" thing may be funny for fans but it feels like Ryo is retarded or a 6 year old kid.. And the camera angle when he is jumping.. as if it was a great jump.. Well if I didn't know the game I thought it would seem plain bad. And the English voiceover is awful too, maybe it's taken from the old game ? But still..

If you have ideas send them by the site or kickstarter.

They, maybe, add 3000 dollars tiers because people asked for more tiers.

They will listen.

If you think this or that is badly managed tell them, give ideas etc....

Via Kickstarter in the comments but it is not private.

The contact me on kickstarter page (to Ys net)

They want us to take part in it so it is a good idea to share your worries, ideas, etc...

The Ask a question button at the bottom of the page... it says ask a question but i used it to give suggestions

And maybe they read comments too, because i only suggest 3 things and they replied about 6 different points.

Not a single backer in the last 15 minutes....we are officially fucked

There's a limit to what diehard fans can do, they need to attract new blood if this is gonna get any decent amount of money. ](*,)

Relax I still haven't pledged yet. Still on holiday. I am guessing plenty of other people are too. The world doesn't stop for E3 and Kickstarter. There will be Shenmue fans coming back from E3 soon too. And not everyone who is a fan of Shenmue will be aware unless they still play games and keep up with gaming news, so we should perhaps start initiative to get word out to people who aren't into gaming anymore. There is a large chunk of former members of these forums who haven't posted once or logged in...

Actually I am one of those people. I haven't been into video games since six or seven years ago. I only learned about it through a friend who has a PS4. he wrote me a text message saying "Hey dude, Shenmue 3 is coming out." He's not even a fan and I first thought it was a fake article he sent me. So I double checked with two or three other websites, then found the S3 reveal video on Youtube and freaked out completely. :)

I really don't get this. We all know for certain that the PS4 physical copy is coming out albeit only at retail, not as a reward tier. But you know what's not a certainty? This game overall quality! So I just I don't understand how people would hold themselves from pledging more (if they can) because they'd prefer a plastic disc over having the power to make this the best game ever. After all the stretch goals are to add the extra immersion to the game, fulfilling Yu Suzuki's original vision and Sony could care less for those because they can't gauge their effectiveness at getting people to buy the game at retail price.
