Probably wasn't anything more than a tech demo. But we actually see shenmue I and II footage, that's the weird part. (well, we also saw shenmue II footage promoting SI, heck even shenmue III).

Yeah they were quite considerable especially technology wise.

UE4 it's not that bad for doing open world stuff. It takes a lot of memory though. But it wouldn't be that difficult to optimize.

I will say this: if we reach the $5 mil mark, one of the things I really want to do with Shenmue 3 will become a reality.

At $10 million, it will truly have the features of an open world.

The Kickstarter is no gimmick it seems. We really need to stem the false journalism on the exaggerated topic of Sony's support quickly. Perhaps at certain stretch goals his backers invest more money, so like a multiplier effect? Whatever the case, he needs $10 million for the real Shenmue.

Where was the kickstarter at before the AMA started? It would be interesting if it surged a little.

I love the music from Shenmue, if anything kept me thinking about Shenmue from time to time during these 10+ years it was the music. Was is your favorite piece from the soundtrack? Thank you for bringing Shenmue to our lives, I can't thank you enough.

Of course I love both the Shenmue and Shenhua themes, and all of them really, but the one that really sticks with me is the Tomato Mart.
