Corey Marshall posted on Shenmue 500k's facebook regarding the target of $10 million.
"If there is anything at all that I can do to help push the Kickstarter campaign to $10million, please let me know. I would be more than happy to make a video
asking for pledges. If you have a list of high-profile folks who you know are Shenmue fans and who may be able to pledge significant amounts, if you can get me their contact info, I would be more than happy to email or call them.
More than just being the English voice of Ryo, as a
gamer, I also happen to consider Shenmue the best game ever made. No other game I've played has the "heart" that Shenmue does, and the world deserves to have the Shenmue 3 that Yu Suzuki envisions."

what about notch? should we pester him for that sweet, sweet minecraft money? he's a gamer after all and almost helped tim schafer funding psychonauts 2! didn't really work out for some reason though. sadly he doesn't even know what a shenmue is.

We should get him to help us do the "$30 on the 3rd" Kickstarter boost. Anyone know any Shenmue situations that would make sense for him to do a dialogue with an NPC about money where we can put in the part about donating $30? Maybe where Fuku-San gives him money to go to hongkong? That might actually pretty funny.

We'd also need someone to capture that part of the game, preferably in HD. What do y'all think?

Hopefully this shenmue documentary comes out soon, that will help alot.

That's a really cool idea I think.
You could also do a mod switch for that flier for a more appropriate kickstarter related one. Might not necessarily even need new VO, but it would be better of course.

I thought it would be cool for Corey to do a VO right after he says "it's not enough." The VO would describe the $30 on the 3rd campaign.
If we had to I could edit the flyer in after effects. That would probably be quicker than modding. I can also edit the video. I've got creative cloud and I'm good with premier.

Someone should contact the Kickstarter team and Corey and try to get them to make him into a reward.
i.e. He'll record your voice mail or send you a personal message in Ryo's voice if you pledge.

Already ahead of you. I've been in contact with Corey directly as well.

What an absolute king. This is awesome!
It makes it all the more ridiculous that they didn't reach out to Corey to do the dubs on that trailer they put out.

Really cool of him to support this. He definately needs to post as Ryo in some form, at least convince the people in his Ryo voice to "Try a game of Kickstarter"
