I love when Suzuki just basically says "fuck your gloves" and takes the watch from him.

I thought they would use Twitch as they would be streaming Shenmue I&II with Yu and maybe talk about Shenmue III while they play it and talk about making the original games.

Henry is right that Twitch was a bad choice. They could have done a 6 mintue video and put it on Youtube making it seem much more professional and got the same information out.

Honestly, and I hate to sound like the Ministry of Propaganda, what would that have accomplished? Comparing Shenmue trends to other trends, the project is doing about as well as any other project, including the famous Bloodstained

Throwing in those grab bags brought them $60K in about an hour. That had more of an impact on the project than any video they could've come up with.

I wholeheartedly agree the Twitch was a train wreck and that the Kickstarter could've been put together much better, but I'm not sure it matters based on the way the project is trending compared to other projects.

Cringing at this hard the morning after, it really happened?

Well, at least now it's obvious Sony are not backing this at least.

Also, while the long haired guy was totally annoying, I found the translator even more annoying. He had a lot of trouble articulating Yu Suzuki's words into English.

Actually the translator did quite a good job (I worked as a japanese/english/spanish translator), he almost always chose the rights words, and best of all, he didn't interrupt Yu Suzuki when he was talking, he did all the translations AFTER Yu finished speaking, and that was pretty remarkable. Also, he has better english pronuntiation that 99% of the japanese people I met in all my life.

I do have to agree. Guy in the middle did a great job, he was a bit stressed but being in front of 2000 persons live make such things happen.

Now, about the guy on the right side.... no comment.

Ok i'm watching this now, the guy on the right 100% has some mental disability, it's not even a question.

ROFL

Edit: actually i'm torn between that and severe drug abuse.

Were you referring to my earlier post in this thread? I was just wondering if someone agreed.

With Hangout they would have been able to see the best questions (with lots of thumbs up) instead of what happened to fly by right that moment in the chat. Not that it would make a difference money wise. But it would have been great for us fans if they saw some good questions instead of what happened to be visible for a second in the chat. I just contacted Ys Net regarding this if they plan another interview later on.

They just need to do another comprehensive nonstop question answering video. Hopefully pre-recorded to avoid the obvious issues from last night.

Yeah he clearly did, the long haired guy was so goofy it was charming in a way. The translator didn't really sell any ideas that Suzuki had. I felt like Suzuki could have been saying some awesome stuff and while the translator got the gist of it, he didn't deliver the full message and the amount of "uh" and "ah"s supports that theory.

Yeah there was the one answer where Suzuki was talking for like a good 30-45 seconds and when the translator started talking he said maybe like 10 words. I was like wtf? Surely he missed something there.

putting up a few limited number of grab bags will only give you a one time boost where die hards who have already pledged will up their pledge. Now that they are all taken (well some people keep backing out, 2 are available as of writing this..) it will drop right back down to 25k a day or less (half of what bloodstained was doing).
