It would explain a lot.

Lemme guess... insecurity, revenge, bitterness, safety of being behind a computer screen... that kinda thing?

I think you've summed it up yourself quite nicely in this quote:
MiTT3NZ wrote: Basically he's the kid at school that even bully victims woulda bullied.

I obviously can't tell for sure, but sound to me like you're the bully victim who is bulling people smaller than you - just to stop yourself from feeling so bad. You've described the situation perfectly.

Oh, and all of the other things in the first quote too. You're also right in those respects.

Bang on the button. We all hate reflections of ourselves. It's the reason why all homophobes secretly crave cock and why we're jealous of Chelsea's ability to defend. However wouldn't the same applicable knowledge mean that you're actually a bully, rendering your attempt at being the "holier than thou" defender of randoms rather... redundant?

Alas, I feel the eyes of the mods gazing at our naked bodies, so to you I say... Let's get dressed, take to another topic, and discuss the ethics of sharing one's opinion in a comfortable, informal way about people's dislike of certain celebrities, and why that is okay, whilst doing so about anyone else is not.

Maybe that's the problem. They are too busy answering all your questions than doing what must be done. -) I mean they have a small team and very little experience, and it is a Japanese company - they'll work overnight to look good on the surface (read, reply to your messages) than do something productive and yielding good results. Just my take on the professional culture here after 6 years of work (including managing) in Japan. -)

Lol, so true. The Japanese are the best at pretending to work hard.

Yes, basically no one should build themsevles or ideas as higher than others. There is no one true idea that is right. everything is a creation and comes down to an opinion.

just be nice to others and help them would work better

If it came to it, I'd be happy to accept having a Japanese voicetrack only. It'd be disappointing to not have Corey et al return, sure, but 2 voice tracks shouldn't be at the expense of the quality of the game. I just hope Joel is serious about them sorting out the site and doing a better job of convincing newcomers why this series should be revived...

Well time is running out, we are now approaching the half way point and soon to be approaching the end. If there's going to be a turn around it better happen soon, I would love for the kickstarter to get around $7 million, because then the combat system would be improved and modernised.

Another day with no updates, funding stalled and time running out. I guess $4 million is a pipe dream.

$4 million is easily feasible (we're only 230K away); we should reach this organically.
Beyond that is a bit more...uncertain.

So far, the road to $11 million includes the following pit stops:
- 30 on the 3rd; Corey Marshall/Conan; etc.

- Last minute push by non-backers like myself.

- AJ and YS getting their heads out of their asses and including Paypal & Latebacker options.

- The contributions of Sony + ___ , which are still a mystery.

The game got 3.5 during the initial rush and will prolly get the same in the ending rush so my bet is 7 mil or a bit less.

What's that rush everybody is talking about? Sounds almost like a miracle. I too want them to get to the point where they improve free battles. I loved those.

The 10m Suzuki san would like from Kickstarter clearly does not include the outside funding. They can't make a Shenmue III full on experience with 10m alone I would think.

I would add to that the possibility of a PS4 physical copy. It's not my case, but there seems to be many people holding out for that, and it could make a significant portion of the current backers to up their pledge (by 30 or 40 dollars at least).
