I am a bit confused why the Ryo model looks so bad

Some very elaborately made points here (especially re Passport Ryo - had no idea he was basically ripped for All Stars). But, as Suzuki himself has said, he's unhappy with the "current" Ryo and it's a work in progress. I have no doubt he'll fix it because let's face it - given the KS funding, Shenmue III is going to be developed with a level of consultation with fans, in a way I & II never were. When there's a new Ryo model, we'll see it - and you can bet Yu will be gauging our reaction.

Even the new KS image is an immense improvement IMO. It may be a Photoshop job, and not quite "our" Ryo, but it's a hell of a lot closer.

Just my $.02 I thought the models were bad, but I also figured it was made probably in a few days to have something for the kickstarter. I also think the team may not know the ins and outs of the Unreal 4 engine so there is still may be a learning curve with the tools. I'm sure in 2016 or 2017 we'll get some videos or screenshots that will make fans happy.
