I was just around 14 yeas old when I watched that Saturn video... man, watched it so many times. I'm such a game nut to these type of things.

I've always thought the fireballs were a thing put in Shenmue Online just to have a magic spell equivalent to other MMO's. Don't get so hung up on the Shenmue Online trailers.

If it happens, it happens, but don't get so hung up on it if there isn't even any proper context on the matter. People just look at the trailer and blow stuff way out of proportion without even knowing if magic will truly be that over-the-top in the later games. Don't worry about it for now.

I always felt like the sword thing can be different, I don't mind the "shenhua push" (without the lightning), but the laser beam and the flying was just so "out of nowhere".

I think they could do something like "Some sunlight comes through and it gets amplified to burn the ropes", or other thing.

I dom't mind some magic, but it just came from nowhere in a 40 hour game that was mostly realistic.

Don't think so, but it's obvious that PC has better hardware. Hopefully they can do a well optimized version.
