It's a good thing, especially for those Shenmue fans who do not like Kickstarter or couldn't pay with Kickstarter's system and can with PayPal or didn't hear about the Kickstarter in time. I'd wager there will be a lot of those fans.

I had an idea
We run a simple poll asking if Dojo members would donate (how much they donate is irrelevant). Then we tally the numbers and divide by $4.7 million working out on average how much needs to be paid per month, let's say. From this we should be able to figure out when we might hit that $11 million goal.

I am not a mathematician.

The basic understanding of all this is: WE NEED TO HAVE A DOJO CAMPAIGN!
A game plan like Kickstarter that can unify the community once again into believing that we can do this! Case in point - people with small income and whom are less inclined to donate will become encouraged if they know that many people are donating. AND I'm not saying everyone has to pay every month either, things go haywire, whenever one can afford to pay whatever they can, that's alright. If they don't pay up that's fine too, there's Dojo members donating truckloads of cash what not and unaffiliated donors taking care of business.

Bring the Dojo campaign! Mr. T

I think it would be pretty difficult to monitor Paypal pledges.... But they should update us every few months on funding (hopefully).

Really? ;-)

Regardless, I didn't donate to Kickstarter. I bought copies of the game and cool as fuck limited edition junk. These rewards would likely extend to the Paypal options.

I merely meant to illustrate that I didn't consider kickstarter a donation, but rather, a purchase of goods. I definitely still used kickstarter -- no way I would miss out on Shenmue 3.

Well, purchase or donation it's the same thing I guess. The money is going where it counts.
But that still leaves Riku Rose...! :P
