It's just big hype from a game they don't know that gets them "excluded", so they feel bad.

The trailer was not that good, but for KS (let's say, almost pre development) it was amazing.

Yeah, this is what I expected from that trailer. Like other people said though, it won't matter.

Most games on Kickstarter don't have trailers. At best, they might have some concept art that, more often than not, doesn't show anything that will resemble actual gameplay.

It's to be expected when development hasn't even begun...

People are dumb though. They don't realise this or, more than likely, they do, but they just want to hate on something they don't get.

That's strange. If you search Shenmue 3 in google right now the wikipedia article comes up on the right side of the page giving Shenmue 3 an 8.5/10 by an Engadget... they need tighter quality controls on wikipedia.

They are so "clueless" as to why there is so much hype around Shenmue 3. Most of these people that hate on the game are uneducated and stick to meaningless games such as Call Of Duty, Gears of War and Destiny. All these guys are qualm, they just want to start hate since they weren't with us in the challenging archipelago which we were stuck in but have now exited from. It's like schoolkids really.

The amount of anger around this place will be hilarious when the reviews come in.

Yeah. This will be the new norm for a while. With every new screenshot or gameplay video, people are certainly going to say mean spirited things. That's just how it is with the ONLINE gaming community at large. Which is funny, because waayyyyy back in the day before online communities were huge, the only way you could have a gaming discussion was with friends at school. And the discussions were usually rather nice.

Youtube comments are a cesspool of nonsense in general terms, so I wouldn't care that much.

With that said, for any non-Shenmue fans I fail to see how either trailer would ever excite anyone. The first KS trailer has absolutely atrocious voice-acting some awkward scripting and the Latern Bugs trailer without the context of playing Shenmue 2 would be equally as boring.

I think it will be fairly well received personally.

I'm expecting fairly mediocre reviews, so I won't care.

Mark my words, reviews for Shenmue 3 will, on average, give the game a score between 5-7/10.

That's stretching things. Shenmue has always been divisive. If the game honors the series legacy, expect a lot of negative reviews.

Yup. Especially if it stays rigidly to its roots and fails to "modernise" enough.
