Ren was mentioned by Yu himself in the previous interviews to illustrate his Perspective System, I don't think there is any doubt here.

Maybe Yu's gonna pull a Metal Gear Solid 2 and have Ren be the main character.

Quite surprised Sega are allowing him to use the capsule toys from the first two games, but good to know! Makes me wonder what new ones would be though - would Sega allow him to use more of their characters as toys too?

I hope this is true. But wouldn't SEGA need to have some approval on the matter? I want my NiGHTS capsule toys again!

i dont see why they would care, they gave him the Shenmue license for free, and Sega capsule toys are free advertising for them, not unauthorized use of their ip to make a Nights or Sonic or VF game.
