Well we've made 267K in 9 months time and we still have 19 months until release.

Assuming we don't slow down, this time next year we will have broken 7 M and will get AI Battling!!

How much longer is the paypal going and when is the deadline for final budget confirmation and new game feature implementation?

PayPal will probably go until the end of the year, maybe longer.

For game features though, we know they're experimenting and considering implementing features for stretch goals we haven't hit yet (namely Higher Ground systems, or environmental attacks), so either they found the money stretches further than anticipated, or they're just throwing it in anyway because they want to do it. They'll likely stop adding things once they exit the test driven development phase.

f memory serves, Suzuki was pleasantly surprised by how much easier Unreal 4 generally made things, development-wise, hence the possibility of implementing a few additional (unachieved) stretch goals.

Yeah, that's more or less what I'm referring to. We already know they've been able to make the maps considerably bigger than they first thought they would. Both Bailu Village and the Guilin woods are a lot bigger than Yu's conservative estimate of "Dobuita-size" maps. Hoping Chobu and Baisha continue the trend.

I believe "Dobuita-size" was in reference to Chobu. But he later compared it to Kowloon, which is bigger, but who knows. He has upgraded the size of the wilderness around Bailu from 2x2 km to 4x4, which is a good sign.

Yeah, that's right.

UE4 is very good at generating terrain, so it's no big surprise areas like Bailu Village and the forest are bigger than expected. We'll see if that translates over to more urban and asset-driven areas like Chobu.

In November when he went to China to show off the prototype/do a research trip.
