Didn't expect such a slowdown in the new backers numbers.

I wouldn't call it slowdown exactly. We've seen it can be unpredictable from week to week. I guess this was just one of those low weeks.

I guess they're updating the total every day until they hit $6.6 now?

Shenmue 3 update 4/27:

Hello Shenmuers this is Yu Suzuki...I am officially investing 40% of our backer's investment into finding the absolute perfect font for the Shenmue 3 logo.

The opportunity cost of this strategic allocation of resources means Bailu Village will have to be cut from the game but some of it will be shown in a cutscene so you'll get the general idea of what was supposed to happen there.

Also in Baisha village the siege scenario development is going very well but it's getting pretty complicated too with all the stats and variables.. it'll probably end up being more menu based than anything I suggest you try to brush up on the FF8 junction system to get a hang of what you can expect here.

Oh and you're totally going to be blown away by the town Choubu.. the port to call is truly a water-color painting come to life! Since we didn't make 10 million there won't be TOO much content here but you can still run around the gorgeous if not barren environment and make up your own story.
